Entry Information: Enter either by mail on the attached entry form or online at www.blackstumpadventures.co.nz 31st January - Enter early before this date and you will go in the draw to win (details coming soon). All entries after this date will incur a $15 late entry fee per rider. February 9th - Online entries close midnight. February 12th - Entries WILL be accepted on the day but will incur the $15 late entry fee. No team entries on the day. Race Programme: Registration: 7.00am - 9.30am February12th Riders briefing: 9.45am Race Start Time: 40km ride starts 10.00am, 30km, 18km and 12km rides start in5 minute intervals after the 40km. Prize Giving: 3pm at the start/finish area. There will be a trophy awarded for the fastest time for each rider in each age group. There will be over 200 great spot prizes awarded at the completion of the rides and three major prizes drawn at prize giving.

Timing: There will be a full transponder-based timing system. Shortcuts: If you have overestimated your capability, there is the opportunity to take a short cut back to the finish line. You will not be eligible for a placing or trophy, but your time will still be recorded. Compulsory Equipment: A New Zealand Standards approved cycling helmet. A windproof jacket must be carried. We recommend carrying 2 litres of water, a spare tube and bike tools. We recommend wearing cycle shorts and gloves, and making sure your seat is comfortable! Toilets: Ample toilets provided by X-S Loos 4 U. General Information: Food (World famous - Hot roast beef and pork sandwiches) and drinks will be for sale as fundraising for the Glen Massey Primary School. Marshalling will also be done by the Glen Massey School and will receive a generous donation from the Black Stump. Coffee will be available for exspresso junkies. Safety: First Aid will be provided by St John’s. Bike Check: Safety of bike is competitor’s own responsibility. We recommend tyres in good condition for off-road use. A R & R Sport mechanic will be on site for safety check and repairs. Things not to bring: For safety reasons riders must not wear ipods or anything that will impair hearing. NO dogs allowed! Support Vehicles: A tail-end charlie will be provided. The vehicle will carry no tools and will not be able to assist with repairs. Quad or motorbikes will cover the MTB track section and carry out riders, but bikes may need to be recovered later. Rubbish: Please do not drop your rubbish. Rubbish bins will be provided. Any riders observed dropping rubbish will be disqualified Cancellations: The event will be held in all but the most extreme weather conditions. If there is a need to cancel there will be no refunds, but we will endeavour to find another date or credit you for next year’s Black Stump. Refunds: Any riders wishing to withdraw after 31st January will not be eligible for a refund. Any entry withdrawals before this date will be refunded, less $15 administration costs. Drink Stations: There are four drink stations on course with both water and Leppin Enduro provided by Fuel Me. Accommodation: Ibis Tainui Hamilton are the official Hotel sponsor of the Black Stump.
